Soft Launch of MOTION at Pune

Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) soft launched MOTION: a Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Automotive: ACES (Autonomous, Connected, Electric, Shared) mobility and also launched Open Challenge Program (OCP) in association Government of Maharashtra, Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), Society of Automotive Engineers (SAEINDIA), The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Pune, M/s. Tata Motors Ltd., M/s. Visteon  Technical & Services Centre Pvt. Ltd., M/s. Intel Technology India Pvt. Ltd., M/s. The MathWorks, M/s. Kinetic Green Energy & Power Solutions Ltd. and College of Engineering Pune, on 10th December 2019. MOTION will provide a platform to the start-ups and strengthen the automotive start-ups ecosystem in ACES domain.
MOTION is a part of STPI’s larger goal of establishing 28 domain-specific CoE’s across the country for creating the start-up ecosystem by providing mentorship, smart incubation, high-tech lab facility, patenting assistance and funding etc.
MOTION is being established with the budgetary outlay of Rs. 20 crore over a period of 5 years with Rs. 6.25 crore support from Government of Maharashtra and remaining from MeitY, STPI and other stakeholders. This initiative will have fully furnished 7,000 sq. ft. of incubation space having 70 plug & play seats incubation along with high-tech ACES lab facility.
During the welcome address, Mr. Sanjay Kumar Gupta, Director, STPI-Maharashtra & Goa welcomed all the participants and explained the road-map of this initiative. He also appreciated all support received from MeitY, State Government and all CoE stakeholders.
